Visas
To enter Peru, travelers must have a valid passport with at least six months of validity from the date of entry into the country. For visitors from Mercosur countries, identity documents are also accepted in addition to the passport. Delegates from countries that require a visa to enter Peru are responsible for obtaining it in advance from the Peruvian embassies or consulates in their respective countries.

Your flight will land at Jorge Chávez International Airport, located in the Constitutional Province of Callao. Upon arrival, proceed to the Immigration module and then to the International Hall to collect your luggage.

Exchange Rates and Credit Cards
PFor payments or purchases, you can use cash or credit cards. In the case of cash, consider that the approximate exchange rate is S/ 3.72 for 1 USD and S/ 4.05 for 1 €.
For credit cards, VISA, MasterCard, Diners Club, and American Express are accepted. The most widely accepted are Visa and MasterCard.
Smokers
Smoking is prohibited in indoor public environments.
Electricity
You will find 110 and 220 V outlets in your hotel.
Health and Emergency Services
Health Insurance Coverage: It is recommended that participants obtain travel insurance before traveling to Lima to cover their medical expenses, if needed.
SIM Card (Mobile Internet Service)
To have internet service in our country without roaming, you can visit the branches of our mobile operators (Claro, Movistar, Bitel, and Entel) located within Jorge Chávez International Airport.
Historic Center (Centro Histórico)
Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the Historic Center, you will find the Government Palace (Palacio del Gobierno), the Municipal Palace (Palacio Municipal), the Cathedral of Lima (Catedral de Lima), the Archbishop's Palace (Palacio Arzobispal), the Plaza Mayor of Lima, the Plaza de Armas, and a huge number of buildings and churches from the Viceregal Era.
Archaeological Sites
30 km (18.6 mi) to the south of Lima is the Archaeological Sanctuary of Pachacamac (Santuario Arqueológico de Pachacamac), which, for more than 1,000 years, served as a religious center for various pre-Inca cultures and the Inca.
Likewise, just over 180 km. (110 mi) north of Lima is the citadel of Caral, which, with its temples, monuments, and pyramids, has also been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Museums
Lima has more than seventy museums, among which the National Museum of Archaeology, Anthropology and History of Peru (Museo Nacional de Arqueología, Antropología e Historia del Perú), the Lima Art Museum (Museo de Arte de Lima), the Gold Museum of Peru (Museo de Oro del Perú), the Rafael Larco Herrera Archaeological Museum (Museo Arqueológico Rafael Larco Herrera), the Real Felipe Fortress (Fortaleza Real Felipe), and the Huaca Pucllana, the latter which is also a tourist restaurant.
